3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Ever. We share data only with service providers needed to run ExamCove (for example: payments, cloud hosting, authentication, and analytics providers such as Google Analytics 4 if you opt in). These providers are contractually bound to process data only for authorized purposes.
4. Data Security
Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We implement industry-standard security measures including regular audits, access controls, and monitoring. No system is 100% secure, but we take every reasonable precaution.
5. Your Learning Data
Your learning sessions, notes, and progress data are yours. You can export your data at any time from your account settings. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for research.
6. Cookies & Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. Analytics cookies are optional and are enabled only if you accept analytics via our consent banner. If you decline, analytics tracking remains disabled. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
7. Children's Privacy
ExamCove is designed for students aged 13 and older. Users under 18 must have parental consent. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we discover such data has been collected, we will delete it promptly.

9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. After account deletion, personal data is removed within 30 days. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law. Anonymized learning data may be retained indefinitely for research.
